Our story
CarExpert was founded in 2021 and has grown into Australia’s largest new-car destination.
Independent car-review websites are consistently the most used, most trusted and most influential source for new-car purchase decisions. That trust matters, especially as buyers face more choice but consider fewer vehicles before deciding.
CarExpert exists to earn that trust. Our New Car Specialists combine hands-on testing, deep category knowledge and clear opinions to help buyers cut through complexity and focus on cars that genuinely suit their needs.
That approach has now been brought to New Zealand through a joint venture with Trade Me, launching CarExpert New Zealand — a dedicated new-car content platform built for Kiwi buyers.
CarExpert New Zealand delivers localised reviews, comparisons and expert guidance, with content syndicated across Trade Me Motors and Stuff.
