    2026 GWM Tank 300 PHEV price and specs

    The GWM Tank 300 will soon be available with either a petrol, diesel, hybrid or PHEV powertrain.

    GWM New Zealand have confirmed pricing and specifications of their upcoming Tank 300 Hi4-T PHEV range.

    Currently offered with a petrol, diesel or hybrid powerplant, the new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version will complete the lineup for the off-road focused Tank 300.

    The PHEV will be offered in two grades and sit atop the Tank 300 model range. The first PHEV models are due to arrive in dealerships from early April 2026.

    Drivetrain and Efficiency

    Both PHEV models will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and 120kW electric motor that produce a combined 300kW of power and 750Nm of torque.

    Electric energy will be stored in a 37.1kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt battery positioned in the ladder frame chassis and deliver a claimed EV range of 115km. Combined range is a claimed 955km.

    The battery will be capable of DC charging of up to 50kW, charging from 30%-80% in 24 minutes, or AC charging of 15%-100% in 6.5 hours.

    Power is sent through a 9-speed gearbox and both models will manage a 0-100km/h sprint in 6.3 seconds.
