The first examples of Nissan’s all-new fourth-generation Navara double-cab ute have landed in New Zealand, and have begun filtering out to dealerships around the country. And, the nameplate hopes to tempt customers with an introductory ‘factory bonus’ discount.
The new ‘D27’ Navara is officially on sale, with demonstrators also available for customers keen to sample the nameplate’s biggest update in more than a decade. For the moment, only the ST-X and PRO-4X models have landed. The SL and ST grades are still en route.
Debuting to the world last November, the 2026 Navara shares its platform and powertrain with the Mitsubishi Triton. Amongst the key mechanical differences is an Australian-based suspension tune in the Navara, carried out by Premcar.

Nissan New Zealand announced the Navara’s local pricing late last month. The four-variant line-up starts at $54,690 for the SL 4WD, and tops out at $67,690 for the PRO-4X 4WD. The range skips over two-wheel drive and single-cab models, although these have not been ruled out for the future.
Model | Price not including on-road costs |
|---|---|
Nissan Navara SL 4WD double cab wellside AT | $54,690 |
Nissan Navara ST 4WD double cab wellside AT | $57,690 |
Nissan Navara ST-X 4WD double cab wellside AT | $62,690 |
Nissan Navara PRO-4X 4WD double cab wellside AT | $67,690 |
But, there is a temporary sweetener available for early birds. Nissan has granted a $3000 ‘factory bonus’ discount for all ST-X and PRO-4X models, lowering their respective prices to $59,690 and $64,690 respectively, not including on-road costs.
This temporary price tweak sees the ST-X undercut the pricing of its Mitsubishi Triton equivalent, the VRX — albeit only by $300.
The offer is only live for the month of March, and is available “strictly while stocks last”.

As previously reported, all Navara models come powered by the same 2.4-litre bi-turbo diesel engine. This is the same powertrain as that of the Triton, makes 150kW of power and 470Nm of torque, and comes exclusively paired to a 6-speed automatic.
