Farizon has confirmed the V7E full electric van will be offered in New Zealand, targeting commercial operators looking to cut costs as fuel prices rise.

Fraizon, the 100 per cent electric commercial van brand for Geely, say the V7E offers a commercially viable path for fleet-focused commercial operators to make the switch to a full electric fleet.

Priced from $55,990 plus on-road costs, the Farizon V7E achieves price parity with some of New Zealand’s best-selling internal combustion medium vans, such as the Toyota Hiace and Ford Transit Custom.

The V7E features a 67kWh battery delivering a WLTP range of up to 329km, and a single electric motor producing 100kW and 230Nm of torque.

The van has dual sliding doors, opening to reveal 7 cubic metres of cargo space and a payload of up to 1,243kg. It can tow up to 750kg and supply power to tools on-site directly from the vehicle.

Charging options include 11kW AC and DC fast charging up to 97kW, allowing a 20 to 80 per cent charge in roughly 30 minutes.

Farizon backs the V7E with a five-year/200,000km vehicle warranty, an eight-year/200,000km battery warranty, and 12-month/20,000km service intervals.

The launch aligns with government plans to expand the national EV charging network. “Growing investment in public charging infrastructure means the switch to electric has never been more practical,” said Farizon New Zealand brand manager Kevin Richards.

“Fuel prices are rising, and businesses are looking closely at every cost. The V7E gives fleet operators a competitive alternative, not just on purchase price, but on the running costs that add up over a vehicle’s life.”

The Farizon V7E is now available through the brand’s national dealers in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch.
