Kia New Zealand has issued a safety recall affecting the digital instrument cluster in many of its latest full electric models.
The recall includes EV3, EV4, EV5 and EV5 models from the 2025 model year.
"The instrument clusters (Digital) may begin to operate slowly while driving. This recall involves an upgrade of the cluster module software to improve operation," said Kia New Zealand in its recall notice.
Kia say affected owners will be contacted and a fix organised through dealerships.
"If notified of vehicles inclusion in the recall, contact nearest Kia dealer directly to arrange a time to have the recall completed. - Please do not call Kia NZ head office as they cannot make bookings," said Kia New Zealand.
For further information you can contact your local Kia dealer or use your vehicle's 17-character vehicle identification number (VIN) to see if your Kia is included in this recall here.
