Mercedes-Benz has expanded its compact SUV lineup in New Zealand with the introduction of the GLA 200 Special Edition, bringing a new design to the entry point of the GLA range.
Priced from $78,900 drive-away, the Special Edition builds on the standard GLA 200 with a suite of cosmetic and equipment upgrades, while retaining the same turbocharged petrol powertrain.
The Special Edition features a suite of exterior upgrades based on the AMG Line, and adds the Night Package, with black exterior accents for a sportier look. The Special Edition also gains 20-inch AMG alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof.
A new Alpine Grey solid paint finish is also available for the first time on the GLA, and is exclusive to this variant.

Inside, the cabin receives subtle extras including grey seat belts, sports seats with contrasting stitching, and light-grain aluminium trim.
Under the bonnet, the GLA 200 continues with a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 120kW and 250Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The GLA 200 Special Edition is available to order now in New Zealand, with first customer deliveries expected in the near future.
