Nissan X-Trail buyers are being offered sharp finance rates and a loyalty cash bonus as Nissan New Zealand looks to boost sales of its mid-size SUV.

Nissan New Zealand has launched two new offers for the MY26 X-Trail: a 1.0 per cent per annum finance rate for up to 24 months, plus a $1000 loyalty bonus for existing Nissan owners.

The MY26 X-Trail range is priced from $45,990 before on-road costs. The offers come as Nissan looks to strengthen its position in New Zealand’s highly competitive mid-size SUV segment.

Once a staple on New Zealand roads, the X-Trail failed to appear in the top 15 passenger vehicle registrations in April 2026, while Nissan also missed out on a place in the top 15 brands overall for the month.

Year-to-date, Nissan sits 13th overall for passenger and SUV registrations with 687 sales.

However, the updated Navara has helped lift the brand to third place in the commercial vehicle market year-to-date.

According to Nissan New Zealand country head Sri Padmanabhan, the new offers are aimed at helping buyers during ongoing economic uncertainty.

“At a time when the cost-of-living crisis is biting Kiwis in the back pocket, compounded by fluctuating fuel prices and potential interest rate increases, Nissan wants to try and alleviate a little of the pain when it comes to buying a new X-Trail,” said Mr Padmanabhan.

“The 1.0 per cent finance offer is amongst the absolute best available in the market today.”

The loyalty incentive applies to customers who currently own a Nissan vehicle, whether purchased new or used, as well as immediate family members residing at the same address.

Both offers can also be combined with the brand's recently introduced Nissan MORE ownership program, which includes a 10-year/300,000km warranty.

“Nissan is dependable, reliable and credible – has a long heritage in New Zealand and can be counted on to stand beside our product now and into the future,” said Mr Padmanabhan.

“We want to make owning a new MY26 X-Trail straightforward, while also rewarding people who are already part of the Nissan family for their unwavering loyalty.”

The offers are available through participating Nissan dealers nationwide until June 30, 2026.
