    GWM brings ‘Sales Stadium’ to Fieldays with Cannon deals and giveaways

    GWM New Zealand has launched its largest-ever presence at Fieldays, combining a Warriors-inspired brand activation with a range of sales offers as the Chinese carmaker continues its rapid growth in the local market.

    The brand recently secured a place among New Zealand's top five automotive brands in April and year-to-date is now sitting in the top 10 of the country's best-selling passenger vehicle brands , providing the backdrop for an expanded showcase at the annual agricultural event.

    Dubbed the 'GWM Sales Stadium', the activation builds on the company's partnership with the One New Zealand Warriors and its 'Wahs Selling Cars' campaign. The site features an indoor vehicle display and an outdoor demonstration area complete with a league field, stadium seating, a giant screen and a towing challenge.

    GWM says the activation is designed to highlight the capability of its vehicle lineup while strengthening its connection with Kiwi buyers.

    A series of Fieldays-exclusive offers will also be available, headlined by up to $4000 worth of free accessories with every GWM Cannon purchased.

    The company is also offering zero-deposit finance with payments deferred for three months across its vehicle range, while the Cannon lineup will be available from $39,990 plus on-road costs.

    Fieldays visitors will also be among the first to see the new Cannon XSR special edition, with just 50 examples earmarked for sale.

    Additional promotions include exclusive Warriors-themed number plates for the first six vehicle buyers, limited-edition GWM gumboots, and the chance to win a VIP sideline experience at a Warriors home game.

    Several Warriors sponsors will be involved in the activation. V Energy will use the plug-in hybrid GWM Cannon Alpha Hi4-T's vehicle-to-load capability to power a branded refrigerator, while Arnott's will offer visitors the chance to win a boot-load of Shapes products.

    Former Warriors players Monty Betham and Jerry Seuseu are also expected to make appearances during the event.

    GWM New Zealand country manager Cameron Thomas said Fieldays remains one of the most important events on the company's calendar.

    "Fieldays is one of the most important events on the New Zealand calendar for us. It provides an incredible platform to connect directly with Kiwis, showcase our growing range, and continue building strong relationships through partnerships that genuinely resonate with New Zealand audiences," said Mr Thomas.

    "To now be ranked in the top five automotive brands in New Zealand and become the leading Chinese automotive brand is a significant achievement for our team, dealer network, and customers. Fieldays is the perfect opportunity to celebrate that momentum while showing people exactly where the GWM brand is heading."

    The GWM display will be located at site J26 throughout the 2026 Fieldays event.
