Mazda has confirmed pricing and early specification details for the all-new Mazda CX-6e ahead of its Australian launch in September 2026.

Like the related Mazda 6e electric sedan, the CX-6e will be offered in two variants across the ditch. Pricing starts at AU$53,990 (NZ$65,260) plus on-road costs for the entry-level GT, rising to AU$56,990 (NZ$68,880) plus on-road costs for the flagship Azami.
Standard features of the GT grade include 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, hands-free power tailgate, panoramic glass roof, tri-zone climate control, a 23-speaker sound system and a 26.45-inch central touchscreen display.

The Azami is differentiated primarily by larger 21-inch alloy wheels, as well as digital exterior mirrors and a digital interior monitor.
The aggressive pricing positions the CX-6e below key rivals in Australia, including the Tesla Model Y (from AU$58,900), BYD Sealion 7 (from AU$57,900), and Zeekr 7X (from AU$57,900).
Both CX-6e grades will be powered by a 190kw/290Nm rear-mounted electric motor with energy stored in a 78kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery - the same powertrain and battery as the Mazda 6e sedan - and provide up to a 486km range on the WLTP test cycle.

Mazda Australia says the CX-6e can be DC fast-charged from 30-80 per cent “in as little as 15 minutes”, though peak charging speeds are yet to be confirmed.
Mazda New Zealand earlier confirmed only one, fully-equipped 6e sedan model will be offered locally. CarExpert expects a similar strategy for the CX-6e when it arrives.
Mazda New Zealand is due to announce details of the local CX-6e range and pricing closer to the model's arrival in late 2026.
