Mercedes-AMG is the high-performance subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz, headquartered in Affalterbach, Germany. Founded in 1967 as an independent racing engine firm, the brand became a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz in 2005 and is known for its "one man, one engine" philosophy. In New Zealand, the brand offers a wide range of performance-oriented vehicles, from the compact A 45 to the flagship GT sports cars and electrified models like the E 53 Hybrid, all supported through the national Mercedes-Benz dealer and service network.
