Dongfeng Motor is one of China's "Big Four" state-owned automotive manufacturers, with a history dating back to 1969. Headquartered in Wuhan, the company has established itself as a global leader through extensive research and development and strategic joint ventures with international brands such as Honda, Nissan, and Stellantis. In late 2025, Dongfeng officially entered the New Zealand market through a partnership with the Armstrong's Group, launching with an initial lineup of fully electric vehicles including the Box compact hatchback, the Vigo medium SUV, and the 007 fastback sedan. Known for its focus on making advanced electric mobility more accessible, the brand supports its local range with a comprehensive six-year or 200,000km vehicle warranty and a dedicated eight-year battery warranty, with sales and service provided through an expanding national dealer network.
